FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

FeedelSMS being a new product, we feel, customers may have a number of technical as well as non-technical questions. In this page, we address these questions and hope to update the page as frequently as possible.

1) What do I need to use FeedelSMS, enFeedelSMS or HindiFeedelSMS?
To start with, you need a mobile phone with multi-media capability and a data access. Almost all phones made in the last 2 years or so by the major manufacturers (Nokia, Motorola, Sony-Ericsson), Sanyo, Samsung, etc are multi-media. The technical jargon is that they have to be MIDP 2.0 as opposed to the old MIDP 1.0 phones. Our market study had suggested that MIDP 2.0 are now very common but we are closely monitoring user interest in the older phone models.

The data access enables your mobile phone to browse the Internet and talk to our servers. Because our mobile software communicates with our web-based servers including for downloading, users need a data service from their wireless carriers. The technical jargon here is GPRS enabled phones. But all users in the US, Europe, Asia and most parts of Africa are already GPRS enabled and all they need is to make sure that their accounts include data access privileges.

We strongly advise that users sign up for unlimited data access when using our products. Our marketing study indicate that the unlimited data services will save you a bundle. Sprint charges $10/month, T-Mobile $5-$10/month while Cingular has plans for $15.00/month. Major research reports in the wireless industry are predicting that these prices will further reduce in the near future. Disclaimer: However, please consult your carrier as this information changes with time.

2) Which carriers do I need to be with to use your software?
In the US, all the major carriers like Cingular, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless sell multi-media phones and provide data access. Our software was installed and run successfully in all these US wireless carriers. In the case of Cingular, Sprint, T-Mobile which have a total combined subscription of almsot 125 Million in the US, all that are needed are a multi-media phone and a data access. However, Verizon Wireless which has 53 million subscribers in the US as of May 2006, allows only its PDAs (Personal Digital Assisiant models) to download program such as ours. Therefore, most Verizon users who use non-PDA cell phones will not be able to download our software at this point. We are working on a BREW version Verizon deems acceptable that will be released in the third quater of 2006. Until then, only PDA models of Verizon ar eable to download our software.

Outside the US, customers of carriers like Orange, BT Mobile, Vodafone, Virgin, T-Mobile UK, etc should be able to download our software and use it.

3) How about Africa, Asia and Middle East? 
The majority of wireless carriers in these geographic areas sell multi-media phones and provide data services. Therefore, users should be able to download our programs. As more data becomes available from our customers in these areas, we will update this information.

The following table gives a list of phones where our products have been tested successfully. We intend to update it regularly. 

4) How much does FeedeliX Services cost? 
There are two service plans available for customers.
Plan A: Consumer Plan with unlimited single and bulk SMS ($2.99/month)
Plan B: Enterprise Plan with unlimited single as well as bulk messaging (Please contact us for a quote)

Note: Our trial version includes a trial Plan-5 Messages for free. As soon as you download our program, you are assigned this service plan by default. During the web-site phase of registration, you can then select your plan of choice.

Currently, we have special promotions in view of our launching of the products. The first 50 registered users between May 1, 06 and May 15, 06 are given unlimited TXT messaging service for free for 6 months. As part of the promotions also, we have special rates of $20.00 for 6 months or $35.00 for a year of service. The limit on the number of TXT messages per month for these promotions is 250 which is plenty.
